Fall Workshops

There are many topics covered in our workshops, including action, editing, creative portraits, live streaming, macro, and nature photography.

Camera School is thrilled to be able to offer its in-depth multi week Photo 101 course offering on Wednesdays or Sundays at Henry’s Toronto. This course is the perfect solution for getting your camera set up for success and learning all of the core photography fundamentals that every photographer should know.
This course is designed exclusively for owners of DSLR or mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras. You’ll get plenty of hands-on and great student notes to aid in your progress (homework assignments too!). Please note the dates as your course registration fee includes access to all four weeks of the event! Camera Quickstart is a focused 2.5-hour class designed to help DSLR and mirrorless interchangeable lens camera owners understand the controls that matter most and start using their cameras with more confidence.
You’ll learn how to set up your camera properly, understand focus controls, learn the vital controls that affect light gathering such as ISO, and control exposure (brightness) when the camera doesn’t get it quite right. We’ll also cover essential menu settings, colour control with white balance, common beginner mistakes, and the settings that make your camera easier and more enjoyable to use.
This class is ideal for new camera owners or anyone ready to move beyond fully automatic shooting without being overwhelmed by technical jargon.
Bring your interchangeable lens camera and leave with a better understanding of how it works, how to control it, and what to practice next.
One 2.5-hour in-person session. No previous photography experience required.
