What do Art, Contemporary and Sports mean?

Art, Contemporary and Sports are SIGMA’s lens lines. Each is designed to support the shooting style and budget of photographers. Generally speaking, Contemporary lenses tend to be smaller and lighter than Art series while Sports lenses can be a bit heavier and bigger. Check out SIGMA’s Artisan Series to see a sample of what some Canadian filmmakers are shooting with.

Art

For photographers who value a creative, dramatic outcome above compactness and multifunction. Good for shooting landscapes, portraits, still-life, close-up, everyday shots, studio photography, architecture, astrophotography, underwater shots, etc.
